Get started

Voicent AI lets your business answer and place phone calls with AI voice agents. You connect your agents and phone numbers, give the agents the knowledge they need, and review every call afterward with transcripts, recordings, and analytics. Automations can then update your CRM, book appointments, and send follow-ups for you.

Voicent is built for business teams: front-desk and support managers, sales and outreach teams, and agencies that run voice agents for several clients. You do not need to write code to use it.

Your setup checklist

Work through these steps in order. Each page tells you what to have ready, what to click, and where to go next.

  1. Learn the basics. Read Key concepts so terms like workspace and agent make sense.
  2. Review your AI models. See which speech and language models your agents use. Model providers
  3. Set up your phone numbers. Bring your numbers into Voicent, including numbers from Twilio. Twilio and phone numbers
  4. Add your business knowledge. Teach your agents your hours, services, policies, and FAQs. Knowledge base
  5. Connect tools. Give your automations access to outside tools through MCP servers. Tools
  6. Create your first agent. Build the agent and bring it into your workspace. Create an agent
  7. Make your first test call. Call your agent and review the result. First test call

Who should do these steps

Some steps need an Admin account, for example connecting a workspace. If you do not see the Administration section at the bottom of the sidebar, ask your organization's Admin to help. See Key concepts for details.

The in-app onboarding wizard

Voicent also has an onboarding wizard at /onboarding (add /onboarding to your Voicent address, for example https://your-voicent-address/onboarding). It walks through the same six steps: Model Providers, Twilio Setup, Knowledge Base, Enable Tools, Create Agent, and Test Call.

Note

The wizard is a guided overview. It does not save the values you type into it. Use the wizard to see the order of the steps, then complete each step on the real page in the sidebar, as these guides describe.

Before you begin

Have these ready:

  • Your Voicent login. Your Admin sends you an invitation.
  • A Retell AI account. Voicent agents and phone numbers run on Retell.
  • Your Retell API key, if you are the Admin connecting the workspace.
  • Business content for your agent, such as a FAQ document or price list.

When you are ready, start with Key concepts.
