Test Simulator

What it's for

The Test Simulator is meant to let you try out an agent before it talks to real callers. The page is titled Test Call Simulator. It is laid out to show a live transcript, audio and text input, the models in use, the agent's reasoning steps, and the tools it calls.

This page is a preview

Right now the Test Simulator shows a fixed sample session. The agent list, scenarios, transcript, reasoning steps, and tool call traces are example content. They aren't connected to your agents. Start Test Call, Record Audio, Play Response, Send Message, and Save Session don't place a call or save anything.

What the layout shows

Use this as a guide to what each area of the page is for:

Area What it shows
Test Configuration Select Agent and Test Scenario menus, and the Start Test Call button.
Live Transcript The conversation between the agent and the caller, with timestamps.
Audio Controls Microphone Input buttons, a Text Input box to type a caller message, and Current Models (LLM, TTS, STT).
LLM Reasoning Process Numbered reasoning steps with a confidence score. Click Hide to collapse it.
Tool Call Traces Each tool the agent called, with its input, output, status, and time taken.

Test your real agent today

To hear how your agent actually behaves, place a real test call:

  1. Make sure your agent is synced on the Voice Agents page.
  2. Make sure a phone number is assigned to the agent. The number appears on the agent's card.
  3. Call that number from your phone and talk to the agent.
  4. Review the call afterward on the Conversations page.

For step-by-step help, see Make a test call.

To test a workflow without a call, use Test on the Workflows page. To check what your agent will find in its knowledge, use the Search tab on the Knowledge Base page.
